In honor of Barbara Saunders, employees at Saunders and Associates of Flower Mound are having a Carnival Day and Bake Sale on Saturday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to raise funds for their team at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas ½ Marathon benefiting the Susan G. Komen Marathon for the Cure.  Linda Berman of Dazzling Events will be making balloon animals for the kids while local cheerleaders man the face painting and game booths. Refreshments will be served. All proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Marathon for the Cure to aid breast cancer education and research.

     The “Saunders’ Team for Life” will run in the Dallas ½ marathon on March 14, 2010 in support of long-time Flower Mound resident and business owner Barbara Saunders, who is currently fighting breast cancer.  Runners and walkers are invited to join them by visiting the website under participant options. The Rock ‘n’ Roll event, which starts at City Hall and ends at Fair Park, is an all out party as local bands play along the marathon route, culminating in a concert event and party at Fair Park. To donate to the cause through the Saunders Team go to: active.com/donate/rnrdallas/saunders.
